Rovers launch new kit with a twist.

The Gas today revealed their new Away kit which features a very unique addition.

Introduced by Rovers legend Ian Holloway, who has three deaf children, the new Rovers strip features readable braille - a form of written language used by blind, deaf, and partially-sighted people to read.

Claimed by Rovers to be one of the first in the world with raised, readable braille, it contains the phrase "Football Brings Us All Together"

Rovers said in the reveal that "The design uses the visual of the braille pattern to celebrate all supporters with disabilities and the fact that football is often the unifying force for us all."

However, only a small number of the "limited edition" shirt will be available to buy. Rovers initially said that only 250 would be available, before later posting online that "due to overwhelming demand", more shirts would be available for pre-order.

In addition to the kit launch Rovers also announced that Utilita, who have been the main shirt sponsor since the 2019/2020 season, are this year - via their charity partner 'Utilita Giving' - donating £2 of every away shirt sold to two local charity projects.

The North Bristol and South Gloucestershire Foodbank and Operation Christmas Hamper have been chosen to receive the funds. Ensuring many vulnerable or struggling families and individuals dont go hungry.
